The spacious 137.3-hectare campus of CUHK is not only home to its students and staff but also a myriad of trees, flowers, shrubs, butterflies, birds and other living creatures. The latter includes many rare and precious species.
Main activities
This portal brings together the different activities being carried out at CUHK to act as a collective source of information, a driver for action, and an inspirational platform for further involvement in campus sustainability.
Innovative aspects
Members of the University community appreciate this unique natural endowment and take great care to make it sustainable. We have a comprehensive tree preservation policy, implement energy saving measures and cultivate a general attitude towards green living. Living in harmony with the environment is a major theme of the education here.
