Objectives of the Center for Social Welfare Studies:

Today, considering the demographic structure of the country, social problems, environmental crises, technological developments and the drafting of a citizenship rights charter, something that matters more than ever, social welfare policies are evidence-based and the real issues facing society in these areas. In fact, the current status of social welfare policy in preventing social problems and reducing its multi-dimensional consequences is not yet reported, events and evidence do not report a satisfactory state of affairs. So that, in the realm of many social welfare policies developed in the country, there is a short-term view, the lack of coherence in the formulation of policies related to each other, and even the discontinuity in the chain of a single policy and its implementation plans. These injuries in social welfare policies have led to a lack of resources, inefficiencies, and inefficiencies in policies that may be designed in their own right with appropriate goals. In other words, one of the gaps in linking the theory and practice of social welfare policy in the country is the lack of analysis and critique of social welfare policies in different stages of design, implementation and evaluation. This deficiency is like a missing link in the social welfare policy chain. For this reason, fewer reports are available on the evaluation of the consequences of social welfare policies in relation to the goal set for the first day.

Therefore, the Center for Social Welfare Studies of the Yazd University of Social Sciences, emphasizes on the placement of this lost circle in the field of opinion and practice, namely the identification of various issues of administrative agencies such as economic, cultural, social and environmental issues, and the analysis and critique of policies. Their social welfare and continued consideration in evaluating these feedback in order to improve the quality of life of target groups. In other words, the Center for Social Welfare Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Yazd University, in order to achieve these goals, seeks to engage with governmental and non-governmental organizations and agencies (both at provincial and national levels) in order to be able to do so By providing research projects, scientific cooperation and advisory services with governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Gender and Family Research Group

Urban Welfare and Sustainability Research Group

Urban prosperity and sustainability can be considered as improving the quality of life in urban structures, which also improves the quality of the environment, which contributes to sustainable human development and helps to form social capital and create social justice. In fact, the concept of sustainability in development, with the foundation for increasing the well-being of citizenship, is likely to improve urban infrastructure and housing, and the proportionate and equitable distribution of urban amenities and services. Therefore, addressing the issue of social welfare, especially in the urban structure, in this regard, makes it clear that social welfare can be considered as the central axis of any economic and social development program that is widely regarded as a measure of measurement and differentiation of developed and developing countries. Lack of social welfare and the lack of quantitative and qualitative social security can be considered a challenge to sustainable development and political and economic stability, social solidarity and environmental health.

Given that social welfare strategies are effective on all aspects of policy-making in the state, simultaneous attention to the concepts of "sustainable human development" and the use of "social capital" and public participation in the concepts of sustainable development seems essential. Therefore, one of the most important areas of social welfare is the urban area, which is referred to as the concept of urban sustainability, which, if realized in society, provides a decent and desirable life for citizens. In fact, paying attention to prosperity and urban sustainability allows the improvement of the urban spatial structure and housing, the restoration and rehabilitation of the urban environment, the integration and blending of urban utilities and the improvement of transportation and accessibility, urban services and facilities, and the improvement of quality of life Urban spatial and housing separation has been prevented and provides solutions to increase the well-being of citizenship and social satisfaction, which is one of the main goals of sustainable development in urban structure.
