Kennesaw State is a comprehensive university located on two suburban campuses in Kennesaw and Marietta, northwest of metro Atlanta. The university is making an impact across the region, the nation and around the world. As the third largest university in Georgia, Kennesaw State has nearly 43,000 students enrolled in over 180 undergraduate, master’s, doctoral degree and certificate programs.
Mission
The Kenneth State aims to be an example of the impact that a student-centered, research-driven university education can deliver. It helps students succeed through exploration, collaboration and rigor and it unites a diverse spectrum of backgrounds and talents to produce meaningful change.
Sustainable Development
At Kenneth State University, sustainable development is part of the community engagement and outreach, which includes collaboration and work with faculty, local and international communities, as well as organizations and national institutions to develop globally-focused initiatives that foster growth, development, and global awareness for our campus community and beyond.
The team strives to provide the campus and local community with opportunities to develop diverse and impactful programming to internationalize the campus through a collaborative, equitable, and sustainable approach. Some of the signature programs are Education for Sustainability and Human Rights and SDG Futures Fellowship.
The university also launched a new Office of Sustainability over the Summer of 2022.
