About
The European University of Lefke, founded by the Cyprus Science Foundation, officially started its academic activities in 1990 as a State Foundation University. Today, the university aims to offer offer up-to-date, long-lasting quality education at international standards. It produces research and contributes to the needs of the society. Prospective students can expect a multicultural learning environment supplemented by a rich history of academic integrity as well as vast experience from both academics and staff. The aim is to be an autonomous university which is open to change and development, producing science and technology and serving as a model with its multicultural diversity.
Sustainable Development
The university has implemented a range of international research projects in pursuit of a global sustainable development mandate. Some projects include "Developing Sustainability Competences Through Pedagogical Approaches" as well as the intersection of urbanization and sustainable development.
