Mission

The commitment of the University of Veracruz with sustainability has been present long ago with diverse academic projects of education, research and outreach. Since July 2010, efforts have been directed towards creating an institutional programme that converges and strengthens these diverse endeavours in an integrated and formally-supported manner.

Achievements

  • inclusion of sustainability in the General Development Plan 2025 ;
  • inclusion of sustainability in the institutional Work Programme 2009-2013 ;
  • creation of the Master Plan for Sustainability ;
  • creation of the Coordination of Sustainability.

Derived of these actions, several policies, projects, courses and workshops have been developed at the five university campuses/regions.
