J. F. Oberlin University is a private four-year university located in Machida, a suburb of Tokyo. Founded in 1946 by Reverend Yasuzo Shimizu, the university is comprised of a College of Arts and Sciences and five professional colleges, as well as a graduate division. With an enrollment of over 9,000 students, many of them from overseas, J. F. Oberlin University seeks to foster global citizens on the basis of Christian values.

Office of Environmental Sustainability 

The Office of Environmental Sustainability (OES) educates and inspires a multidisciplinary way of thinking about the world that incorporates an ethic of environmental care, social equity, and financial responsibility. Through bold leadership, innovation, and creative collaboration, OES works with the administration to advance an environment that is sustainable, equitable, and resilient for the campus, students, the community, and beyond.

The office works to facilitate the implementation of the college’s comprehensive environmental policy in line with the college’s strategic goal of sustainability and commitment to carbon neutrality.
