The University of Cambridge was founded in 1209 and it's the fourth oldest university in the world.  As of May 2022, Cambridge had more than 315,000 living alumni, with significant numbers in the UK, the USA, Germany, Canada, Australia, the People's Republic of China, France, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, India, Switzerland and Italy.

Cambridge is a globally diverse institution and its students come from 141 different countries. Its researchers collaborate with colleagues worldwide, and the University has established partnerships in Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe.

Sustainability at Cambridge

The University is committed to continual environmental improvement, including through a 'science based target' to reduce its energy-related carbon emissions to absolute zero by 2048, with a steep 75% decrease on 2015 emissions by 2030.
