Antonio Nariño University (IAU Cluster Lead for SDG 2, Colombia) is organizing a webinar entitled "Hunger Zero : A new Green Revolution" which will take place on Thursday 21st May, as part of its Webinar series on SDG2.

Time :

9.00 am (Colombia GMT-5)

4.00 pm (Norway GMT+2)

Speaker : David Rodriguez Goyes, Post-doctoral researcher in green criminology at University of Oslo (IAU Cluster satellites for SDG 2)

SDG 2 "Hunger Zero" calls to improve the nutrition of all humans while ensuring that food production systems are less destructive of the planet.

Whereas the rhetoric quality of SDG2 makes it appealing and convincing, this Webinar discusses the likely undesirable outcomes of its international adoption.

Namely, the application of southern and postcolonial theoretical frameworks, combined with a historical exploration reveal SDG2 as a neo-imperialist and civilizatory discourse.
