Innovation Day 2021 : The Responsible University

The Innovation Research Network (RRI) organize Innovation Day 2021 on the theme of "the Responsible University" in partnership with the Francophone University Association (AUF).

The purpose of this day is to define the outline and methods of action of "the Responsible University”. What does responsible innovation mean?

It will furthermore address questions such as: How to link university actions and responsible innovation? What actions and projects, what governance can the university develop to be a key player in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the social economy and solidarity?

Based on case studies, presentation of different support systems for transition (charters, labels) and testimonials, the evolution of the university's mission in the implementation responsible forms of innovation will be presented and discussed.

In the context of the achievement of Agenda 2030 and the rise of the social and solidarity economy, the concept of "responsibility" is a key theme in the field of economics and management, behavior of actors (companies, universities, etc.) but also in public policies. This principle of responsibility is now part of the very essence of the research and innovation process of two ways: on the one hand, by taking into account the potential impacts on social well-being; on the other hand, using social purposes and environment as the starting point for any process of emergence of new knowledge, goods, and services.

Innovation Day 2021 will therefore be an opportunity to highlight the challenges and practices of the Responsible University, especially in the context of the current health crisis.
